City face United in Manchester Derby

Manchester City will square off with Manchester United in an English Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Citizens defeated Burnley 4-1 away in their previous league game which was played on December 03.

The win extended City’s unbeaten run to three matches in the league having recorded two wins and one draw.

They are unbeaten in their last three home matches in the league having registered three consecutive victories at the Etihad Stadium.

City will be looking to secure the bragging rights by defeating United at home when the two giants clash.

Meanwhile, United defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at home in their previous league match which was played on December 04.

The win extended the Red Devils’ unbeaten run in the league to four matches having recorded two victories and two draws.

They are winless in their last two away matches in the league having registered one defeat and one draw.

Scott McTominay, the United midfielder, is pleased with his partnership with Fred ahead of their clash with City.

“We want to keep that partnership going. We want to get partnerships all over the pitch, especially with the forwards,” McTominay said.

“Hopefully we can go to Man City and put in a real performance and after that, see where we’re at.”

The last league meeting between City and United was on the 24th of April 2019.

The Citizens secured a 2-0 win over the Red Devils at Old Trafford Stadium.
