Man United seek revenge against Newcastle

Manchester United will square off with Newcastle United in an English Premier League match at the Old Trafford Stadium on December 26.

This will be the 50th meeting between the two teams in the English Premier League era.

Manchester have dominated this fixture having registered 28 wins compared to Newcastle’s seven victories, while 14 games ended in a draw.

However, Newcastle won the last league meeting between the two teams on the 6th of October 2019.

Newcastle secured a 1-0 win over United in a match which was played at St James’ Park.

Miguel Almiron, the Newcastle attacker, is keen to help the Magpies record wins during the festive season.

“I’m here to help the team and when you are helping the side and contributing in other areas, I think that’s very important too,” Almiron said.

“The main thing at the moment is that the team is winning, we are in good form and there is a good atmosphere feeling around the squad.”

Manchester are hoping to secure a top-four finish in the English Premier League in the current campaign.

English marksman Marcus Rashford, who is one of the most exciting young strikers in the world, is the dangerman for Manchester.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are keen to retain their status in the English Premier League for the third year running.

They will look to young midfielder Matthew Longstaff, who scored the only goal of the match as Newcastle defeated United last October.
