Chelsea keen to end Liverpool’s perfect start

Chelsea will square off with Liverpool in an English Premier League game at the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Sunday.

The Blues secured a 5-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their previous league game which was played last weekend.

The victory extended Chelsea’s unbeaten run to four matches in the league having recorded two draws and two victories.

They are currently enjoying an 11-match unbeaten run at home in the league having registered five draws and six wins.

The six-time English champions will look to extend their unbeaten home record when they take on an in-form Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Liverpool secured a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United in their previous league game which was played last weekend.

The victory extended the Reds’ winning run in the league to 14 matches including last season’s games in the competition.

They are also undefeated in their last 10 away matches in the league having registered seven victories and three draws.

The 18-time English champions will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign.

The last time Chelsea and Liverpool clashed in a league game was on the 14th of April 2019.

Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at the Anfield Stadium.
