Chelsea take aim at London rivals West Ham

Chelsea will square off with West Ham United in an English Premier League match at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues were beaten 3-1 win by Manchester City away in their previous league game which was played on November 23.

The defeat ended Chelsea’s six-match unbeaten run in the league having recorded sixth consecutive victories.

They are also unbeaten in their last three league games at home having registered three successive victories.

Fikayo Tomori, the Chelsea defender, remain confident despite their recent league defeat to City.

“We’re in a good position in the [Premier League] table, we’ve been playing a lot of good football so we’re confident,” Tomori said.

“A result like this is not what we wanted but we’re going to keep training and playing like we have been doing and try to keep improving as much as possible”

Meanwhile, West Ham were beaten 3-2 by Tottenham Hotspur at home in their previous league game which was played on November 23.

The defeat extended the Hammers’ winless run to seven matches in the league having registered two draws and five defeats.

They are also winless in their last four away league matches having recorded two defeats and two draws on the road.

West Ham will be looking to snap their winless run on the road when they lock horns with a wounded Chelsea side.

The last league meeting between Chelsea and West Ham was on the 8h of April 2019.

The Blues beat the Hammers 2-0 in a match which was played at Stamford Bridge.
