WAFA, Dreams both look to bounce back

WAFA and Dreams will both be looking to bounce back from defeat when they meet in round five of the 2018 Ghana Premier League season. The teams will face off at Sogakope Stadium on Wednesday, 4 April 2018.

WAFA come into the match having suffered their first loss of the new season this past weekend, as they were beaten 2-0 at Elmina Sharks. The result left the Academy team in fourth place on the log with seven points from four outings in 2018.

Dreams also ended on the losing side, as they succumbed 1-0 away to Accra giants Hearts of Oak on Sunday, a result which dropped them to sixth place – also with seven points from four league matches.

This will be just the third league meeting of WAFA and Dreams, with each side claiming a 1-0 home win against the other in the 2016 season. The latter were relegated and played in the second tier through the 2017 campaign, but they have returned to the GPL and will be keen on proving that they belong in the top flight.
