Kenyan captain set to join Arsenal

Kenyan captain Victor Wanyama will move to Arsenal during the January transfer window.

According to various news sources in England, the gunners are preparing to table a $22million bid for the Southampton.

Wanyama has been very impressive since becoming the first player from East Africa to play in the lucrative English Premier League (EPL) when he joined Southampton in 2013 from Celtic in a record transfer move that cost $20million.

Wanyama was disappointed after failing to join Tottenham Hotspurs in the last transfer window after the Saints refused to release him in the last day of business.

He will this time relish at the opportunity of jumping ship in a move that is likely to cause a lot of celebrations in his native home where majority of the football fans support the gunners.
