Crvena Zvezda v Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham eye another win over Crvena Zvezda

Crvena Zvezda will face off with Tottenham Hotspur in a Group B match at the Red Star Stadium in Serbia on Wednesday.

The Red-Whites were beaten 5-0 by Tottenham in their previous Group B encounter which was played in England on October 22.

The defeat left Crvena Zvezda placed third on group standings having accumulated three points from three matches.

Crvena Zvezda head coach Vladan Milojević has praised Tottenham ahead of their return leg clash.

“They are a terrific team, very powerful. Their players are great athletes as well as skilled footballers,” Milojević said.

“They are very potent going forward with plenty of options. World-class players will punish every mistake that you make and it’s what happened to us.”

Meanwhile, Tottenham will be looking to complete a double over Crvena Zvezda in the capital city of Serbia, Belgrade.

The English side is currently placed second on the group standings having collected four points from three matches.

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino feels his side needs to improve ahead of their clash with Crvena Zvezda after drawing with Everton on Sunday.

“The team was good, the spirit… that’s the way to recover our best way,” Pochettino said.

“There is still a lot of work to do, but that is the way we wanted to work and, after, to improve our performance.”
