Manchester City will travel to the Old Trafford Stadium where they are expected to face Manchester United in an English Premier League match on Wednesday.
The Citizens extended their unbeaten to 10 games in the league when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at home over the weekend.
They have now won their last 10 league matches having defeated Chelsea and Everton amongst other teams.
They will be looking to register their 11th consecutive win when they square off with their city rivals, United.
Meanwhile, United recorded their third defeat in their last five league matches when they suffered a 4-0 loss against Everton away over the weekend.
However, the Red Devils are enjoying a 10-match unbeaten run at home in the league having recorded draws against Burnley and Liverpool FC in Manchester.
They will be keen to return to winning ways when they lock horns with an unstoppable City side.
City thrashed United 3-1 in the first round league clash which was played at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.
