Chelsea hope to hurt Liverpool’s title hopes

Chelsea FC will travel to the Anfield Stadium where they are scheduled to face Liverpool FC in an English Premier League game on Sunday.

The Blues extended their unbeaten run to three league matches when they defeated West Ham United at home earlier this week.

The victory took Chelsea to third place on the league standings – two points above third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

They will be hoping to recorded their second successive victory on the road in the league when they lock horns with Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Liverpool extended their winning run to four league matches when they thrashed Southampton 3-1 away last weekend.

The victory took the Reds to the top of the league standings – a point above second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

They will be keen to secure their fifth successive home victory in the league when they square off with Chelsea.

Chelsea will be looking to extend their unbeaten run against Liverpool to five matches in the league.

They played to a 1-1 draw at the Stamford Bridge earlier this season and the last time Liverpool defeated Chelsea was on the 16th of September 2016.
