Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions for the first time last year but are paying the price for their success.

Leicester left Riyad Mahrez on the bench for the first time in 36 league matches and his absence was evident as they failed to register a shot on target. The loss leaves Leicester with just eight points from as many matches as they battle to come to terms with the demands of European football.

Walcott has now scored five goals in eight games and the victory took the Gunners to joint top on the log with 19 points. Manchester City stayed top on 19 points despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Everton. When the season started, we assumed it would be a very close race to the title and it is proving to be exactly that.
