The new Fifa boss has been announced and Gianni Infantino is stepping up to the helm. The 45 year old has been involved with Fifa for seven years and was recently elected to succeed disgraced Sepp Blatter. On Friday Infantino said he will work towards steering Fifa out of corruption after recent scandals.

“We will restore the image of Fifa and the respect of Fifa, and everyone in the world will be proud of us,”

How will Fifa change?

Before the new president was elected reforms had been set in place to make Fifa more transparent. Infantino will be under the microscope unlike blatter who lorded around the world like a head of state. Infantinos salary will be public knowledge and he will have less influence over the daily running of the organisation.
