Can the Gunners take down the Foxes

History greatly favours Arsenal as they take on Leicester City in Sunday’s top of the table English Premier League (BPL) match at the Emirates Stadium.

This is because the gunners have beaten the Foxes 12 times before and have never lost to their opponents in 18 league meetings.

Furthermore, the Gunners have beaten their opponents in the last eight meetings at the Emirates.

Sunday’s match is a must win for Arsenal who have lagged behind in their title chase after dropping crucial points in the past and this fact puts added pressure on the Gunners to perform.

Coach Arsene Wenger will be happy that he has all his key players fit for the match. Mesut Ozil looks good while Alexis Sanchez has been awesome since returning from injury.

But while history may favour the Gunners, it may as well count for nothing when you consider the good run that Leicester City have had this season.

Top of the league for most of this year, the Foxes have every motivation to win this one. Just last weekend, they upset Manchester City 3-1 to remain serious contenders for the title.

Manchester City will be seeking to recover from last weekend’s loss to Leicester when they host second placed Tottenham Hotspurs at Etihad Stadium also on Sunday.

It was an unexpected loss for City and it has seriously dented their title ambitions. Spurs look ready to spoil the party further for them as they chase a top four finish.

On Saturday, Manchester United host Sunderland on the back of a 1-1 tie against Chelsea last weekend and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways.
