Man City eye over win over Palace

Manchester City will face Crystal Palace in an English Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The Citizens defeated Aston Villa 6-1 away in their previous league match which was played on January 12.

The win extended City’s unbeaten run in the league to three matches having registered three consecutive victories.

They are also undefeated in their last three home matches in the league having recorded three successive victories at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola, the City manager, has backed Sergio Aguero to continue scoring goals for the team after breaking Premier League records last weekend.

“It is an honour for me to here when Sergio achieved these records. He is an incredible legend and he will score goals for as long as he plays,” Guardiola said.

“It is very special for me and hopefully, he will score many more goals for us.”He has helped make English football and the Premier League better.”

Meanwhile, Palace drew 1-1 with Arsenal at home in their previous league game which was played on January 11.

The draw extended the Eagles’ unbeaten run in the league to four matches having registered three draws and one victory.

They are winless in their last four away matches in the league having recorded three draws and one defeat.

The last league meeting between City and Palace was on the 19th of October 2019.

The match ended in a 2-1 win in favour of City the Selhurst Park in London.
