Who were the highest earning clubs in Europe last year?
Spanish giants Real Madrid were the highest earners according to the Deloitte Football Money League report for 2015 amassing revenues to the tune of €577m. Madrid’s revenues were mostly propped up by high shirt sales and a good performance in the Champion’s League as well as television rights revenue.
Their La Liga counterparts Barcelona are second on the list with revenues of €560.8m. Unsurprisingly, English clubs have 17 teams in the top 30 of this year’s money league.
Manchester United lead the way and are ahead of their English rivals Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
United are the English team ranked higher than money bags Paris Saint- Germain (PSG) of France and German champions Bayern Munich.
