Leicester left Riyad Mahrez on the bench for the first time in 36 league matches and his absence was evident as they failed to register a shot on target. The loss leaves Leicester with just eight points from as many matches as they battle to come to terms with the demands of European football.

Walcott has now scored five goals in eight games and the victory took the Gunners to joint top on the log with 19 points.
