Though the club did not make public how much they have paid for the player, other reports put the figure at £89m. Transfer News: Mane joins Liverpool

The Reds have paid £34m to sign Mane on a five year deal become their third signing after Joel Matip and Loris Karius. Mane told the club’s official website that he was happy to sign for Liverpool which he described as one of the biggest teams in Europe. “Today is a big day and I am very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe,” he was quoted on the Liverpool website. The Senegalese joins Liverpool after an impressive record with the Saints where he scored 21 goals in more than 60 Premier League appearances. In other transfer news, Paris St-Germain (PSG) have appointed Unai Emery as the club’s new manager on a two-year contract. He replaces Laurent Blanc who left the club on Monday after being in charge for three years.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is set to cross over to Everton after an inspiring performance with the Saints. Various British media outlets reported that the Toffees will pay Southampton a fee of £5m as compensation for Koeman who still had one year of his contract still to go. Everton has reportedly laid out a lucrative £6m a year deal for Koeman. Koeman will be hoping to replicate the success he has had at St.Mary’s as he led the Saints to a top ten finish in the last two seasons he has been in charge. John Terry agrees to stay at Chelsea for another year.

The former England Captain must be desperate to stay at Chelsea after he turned down a lucrative move to China. Mail Online is reporting that he has accepted a weekly pay cut of around £90,000 and is not guaranteed a starting position on the team under new Manager Antonio Conte. The deal is said to be incentive based and Terry will be rewarded on performance and appearances. Terry had the following to say regarding the signing: ‘I am delighted to sign a new contract with the club,’ Terry said. ‘Everyone knows I’m Chelsea through and through. ‘I am looking forward to next season under the new manager and hopefully we can make it a successful one.
