Chelsea will be hoping to take their top form to Europe when they take on PSG in their round of 16 Champions League match.

The Blues hammered New Castle 5-1 in their English Premier League (BPL) to keep a good run of results in the league.

Coach Guus Hiddink has improved Chelsea a lot since taking over from Jose Mourinho with the Blues unbeaten in 12 matches.

The Blues are facing a defensive crisis with team captain John Terry injured and Kurt Zouma replaced for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

For goals, Diego Costa will be hoping to end his dry run in the Champions League where he has scored just once in 14 matches.

The French champions have had mixed fortunes in the Champions League. They have won just one of their six champions league matches against Chelsea at home drawing three times and losing twice.

Furthermore, PSG have been unlucky in their last five Champions League games at the knock-out stages where they have been knocked out.

But working for them is the fact that the team is yet to concede a goal at home in the champions league this season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is PSG’s leading goal scorer and could give Chelsea problems. The Swede has scored seven goals in 36 Champions League matches.

In another Champions League match on Tuesday, Zenit will play their first competitive match in two months when they take on Benfica.

The two sides also met at the same stage four years ago with Benfica going through on a 4-3 goal aggregate.
